The engagement

Two parts. One operating vision.

The foundation and the roadmap move together—keeping today's business supported while tomorrow's systems are designed.

Part 1Managed service

Managed IT, security & cloud readiness

Responsive support for people and endpoints, backed by a standardized security stack, documented onboarding, and a cleaner technology foundation.

  • Help desk, endpoint management and patching
  • Security, phishing protection and Microsoft 365 support
  • New-hire equipment procurement and staging
$1,750/ month at the preliminary
14-endpoint baseline
Part 2Crawl · Walk · Run

Systems & workflow modernization

Start with evidence, define the right interfaces, then build only what earns its place in Contour's operation.

Discovery findings

The opportunity is connection—not more disconnected tools.

Contour's systems support the business, but important work still moves between inboxes, spreadsheets, Sage, the 3PL and individual staff knowledge.

01

Order intake

Inconsistent email and PO formats create repetitive manual entry.

02

Fulfillment

Sage-to-3PL exceptions require manual comparison and follow-up.

03

Customer service

Questions, returns and context remain heavily email-dependent.

04

Reporting

Useful information is split across systems, files and individual knowledge.

05

IT operations

Asset documentation, onboarding and onsite coverage need a clearer standard.

06

Network

Mixed-vendor equipment and unresolved Wi-Fi coverage warrant onsite validation.

Evidence boundary

These are discovery findings, not assumptions of technical access. Endpoint counts, five server roles, backups, interfaces, vendor ownership and exact Wi-Fi requirements remain verification items before implementation commitments.

03 / PART 1

Managed IT + security

A clear support model for every managed user endpoint.

Centervert supports the person—not just the device—with the technology stack, security controls and operating process needed to keep Contour's team productive.

01

Support & administration

Remote help desk, incident triage, endpoint troubleshooting, Microsoft 365 and Duo administration, vendor coordination and ongoing service reporting.

02

Centervert technology stack

Endpoint monitoring and management, patching, endpoint security, email and phishing protection, security-policy administration and alert response.

03

Joiner / mover / leaver process

Contour submits a ticket; Centervert confirms the approved role standard, procures and stages equipment, enrolls the endpoint, installs standard applications and ships it ready for the employee.

04

Charlotte onsite support

Remote-first service with a Greenville representative available when onsite work is appropriate. Covered MSP support labor remains included; travel is approved and quoted before dispatch.

Optional one-time project

One network.
One pane of glass.

Replace the mixed-vendor environment with a centrally managed UniFi foundation—without making network acceptance a condition of the MSP service.

04 / PART 2

Systems roadmap

Move from evidence to impact in controlled stages.

Sage 100 remains the current operational and financial source of truth. Each stage must earn the authority of the next.

014–6 weeks

Crawl

Discover and design

Verify two workflows, system interfaces, ownership, baselines, governance and architecture. Deliver a build-ready roadmap and fixed Walk statement of work.

$14,500 fixedGate: approve one fixed Walk pilot
028–12 weeks

Walk

Prove one workflow

Build one human-supervised pilot in shadow or draft mode, test it against approved historical data, train users and compare results with the Crawl baseline.

$35K–$55K planning rangeGate: approve production authority
033–6 months

Run

Operationalize and scale

Harden a proven workflow for production, add approved integrations, monitoring, recovery, auditability and only the additional capabilities supported by evidence.

$65K–$125K planning rangeGate: accept sustained performance
WalkOne pilot.
Two qualified options.
A

Assisted order intake

Read an approved mailbox and order category, extract PO details, identify uncertainty, and prepare a structured staff review package—without posting directly to Sage.

B

Sage-to-3PL exception reconciliation

Compare approved read-only Sage and 3PL data, surface true exceptions, and preserve the source, assignment, disposition and audit history.

Human-controlled by design

Automation prepares the work.
Contour retains the decision.

01ReadApproved sources
02PrepareDraft or comparison
03FlagUncertainty + exceptions
04ApproveNamed person
05ActOnly when authorized

Customer messages, product claims, unusual pricing, credits, refunds, warranty decisions and production Sage writes retain a human approval gate until Contour explicitly authorizes a narrower tested rule set.

05

Commercial summary

A decisive start, with later investment gated by evidence.

Part 1 and Crawl may begin concurrently. The optional network project is separately authorized; Walk and Run are not commitments.

Recommended next step

Confirm the foundation.
Begin the blueprint.

Approve the managed endpoint service and, if desired, start Crawl concurrently while the server, backup and optional network requirements are validated.

  1. 01

Confirm the preliminary 14 managed-user-endpoint baseline.

  2. 02

Complete the separate five-server and backup assessment.

  3. 03

Authorize Part 1 and the fixed Crawl blueprint selections.

  4. 04

Name the executive sponsor and two operational workflow owners.
